I just want to investigate the claims made in this theory because honestly it’s wild and I think that we all deserve to know what quote unquote time we might actually be living in. What if Christ already ruled the earth for a thousand years? We are living in it right now. So, let’s break down what this theory claims. In the Bible, specifically in Revelation 20, it says Christ will reign with humanity for a thousand years. Then at the end of that reign, Satan will be released for a quote unquote little season to deceive the nations one last time before final judgment. Now, the Bible doesn’t say how long this little season will last, but personally, I would imagine that it will be less than a thousand years, obviously, because that’s how long Christ was reigning for. Most Christians believe that Christ’s reign here on Earth hasn’t happened yet, that it’s an event that will take place sometime in the near future. But according to this theory, it may have already happened and we missed it. Most Christians don’t even stop and think about the time referred to as Satan’s little season because it’s after the rapture, so we don’t have to worry about it yet, right? But the Bible clearly says that Satan will be allowed to deceive the nations during his little season, which clearly means that people will be here inhabiting the earth during this time. Many people today interpret his words to mean that his second coming would happen like thousands of years later and that we would see it during our lifetime. But if you go back and read the Bible carefully, taking Jesus for his words or like taking his words at face value, it becomes blatantly obvious and clear that he was speaking directly to the apostles and people living at the time when he said it, not to people with iPhones and iPads like a thousand to 2,000 years in the future. For example, in Matthew 16 28, Yahweh says, “Truly, I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” So, some people standing here will not die before I return, essentially in layman’s terms.
